Ms Thato Lesejane is a Fellow Chartered Accountant who holds a Bachelor of Accounting from University of Botswana (UB) and a qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She holds several certificates including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Financial Modelling and Analysis (FMVA) and an Executive Development Program from Stellenbosch University.
She possesses over 21 years of experience with a strong track record in financial leadership, governance and strategic oversight. She has extensive expertise in financial strategy, governance, audit oversight, risk management, and corporate reporting across industries.
Ms Lesejane is currently the Head of Finance and Administration at BPOMAS, where she previously served as the Accountant. She has worked for Standard Chartered Bank as a consumer banking partner and at KPMG Botswana as an Audit Senior.
Ms. Lesejane has served on a number of boards and brings extensive fiduciary and governance experience, including as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairperson in regulated financial environment.
