Ms Makati is Human Resources Specialist who holds a BA (Hons) in Personnel Management from Plymouth University (England) and a Master’s in Business Administration from DE Montfort University (Gaborone). She holds other several certificates in Human Resources including an Executive Development Programme (EDP) from University of Stellenbosch (South Africa).
She brings over 31 years of experience delivering strategic and operational human resources solutions. She has extensive expertise in talent management, employee relations, performance management and organisational development with a strong focus on aligning people strategies to business objectives. She has successfully led initiatives that enhance employee engagement, strengthen workplace culture and ensure compliance to labour laws and the Employment Act.
Ms Makati is currently engaged by HRMC Talent Management Company as a Senior Consultant. She has worked for different companies in varying sectors including parastatals, private sector, NGO’s and financial services industry. She has worked for companies like Debswana, Standard Chartered Bank, Absa Bank Botswana, ACHAP, Botswana Meat Commission and Diamond Trading Company. She has also been engaged as a private consultant by Heritage Dalita and Options Group and Makati Law.
